Commentary

bulletThe only song from the Beastie Boys' Licensed to Ill to make the list is Fight for Your Right to Party at #51.  On their second album only Hey Ladies charted (at #106.7!).  Only with Ill Communication in 1998 did KROQ jump on the bandwagon.  But what really annoys me is that they seem to be trying to rewrite history to make it seem they've always been big-time Beasties fans--they play songs from Licensed to Ill (Girls in particular) more now than when the album came out!
bulletTo me Faith No More's We Care a Lot (#29) is the first rap-rock song of the kind that was popular in the late 90s (Korn, Limp Bizkit, etc.), and I don't think they get the credit for it that they deserve.  They vocalist here is different from the one on their later hits like Epic and Midlife Crisis.
bulletI really like the guitar on the Cure's Just Like Heaven (#1) and the Damned's Along Again Or  (#36).  I guess they are a bit similar...
